Welcome to Hennock Parish Council

About

Hennock Parish Council is dedicated to serving the communities of Chudleigh Knighton, Hennock, and Teign Village. As the closest tier of local government to the community, we work diligently to represent your interests and address your concerns. Operating below Teignbridge District Council and Devon County Council,  we are committed to enhancing our local area.  Map of Hennock Parish.

Our council is comprised of 11 councillors: 8 from the Chudleigh Knighton Ward and 3 from the Village Ward.

Unfortunately, we currently have 2 vacancies in each ward and welcome expressions of interest from those passionate about their community.

We hold full parish council meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of each month and Planning Committee Meetings on the 4th Tuesday (except for August, when we observe a Summer Recess). Meetings are hosted at either Chudleigh Knighton Village Hall or Hennock Village Hall, where we discuss important issues and work towards effective solutions.

Our responsibilities include managing a range of community services such as allotments, bus shelters, car parks, defibrillators and play parks. To fund these services, we set a budget, known as the precept which forms a small part of your Council Tax.

We invite you to explore our website and share your thoughts with us. Your feedback is invaluable, and we look forward to hearing from you.
